The Future of Dry Basements is Green

Updated: Jul 14

A recent tropical storm dumped over three inches of rain in a single day. I watched much of it flood impervious streets, storm drains and surge from sump pumps. However local park in South Orange, where Rahway River flows was a very different situation. The banks of river including many shade trees, shrubs, and weeds slowed extreme flow of water.
