Design Hack: Plant Trees

Updated: Jan 30

Have you noticed that there are less trees in your neighborhood? Have you noticed how much hotter it is without trees? A recent analysis of private property tree permits in South Orange revealed most tree loss is the result of disease and death of older trees.

While hundreds of trees have been lost in 2022 and 2023, very few have been replaced.

Planting trees to replace loss is a very good way to mitigate climate change, cool down and improve the look of your landscape.

You do not need to spend a fortune. In fact planting younger trees is not only cheaper, but they tend to grow faster.
